As I type my heart filled with glee, the latest launch from makeup queen Lisa Eldridge has just landed on my doorstep. Cue squeals of excitement. I have perused her website and instagram time and time again getting to know the products in advance, now finally I have them in my hands. So let’s devour the Lisa Eldridge Summer 2021 Collection together!
This is the sixth launch from Lisa, who, for those unaware is one of the world’s top makeup artists and is highly sort after. There isn’t a supermodel or magazine cover she hasn’t graced with her talents. So when an artist of her caveat begins formulating a makeup line, you run.
If there’s one thing Lisa Eldridge knows it’s colour and we have seen this time and time again in each and every lipstick. They are truly individual and stunning in their pigment, shade choice and texture.
This year we see Lisa moving into base makeup and as an artist known for creating perfected skin makeup looks, this is incredibly exciting, especially for us fellow makeup artists (who get a tad excited over owning her products…).
So now we have a little back story, let’s move on to the Summer 2021 Collection.
I have reviews on each previous collection here:
Red Velvets, Summer Pinks, New Velvets Winter 2020
Lisa Eldridge Summer 2021 Collection
This Summer we see new shades in the Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour, restock and new shades in the incredibly popular Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss and the exciting launch of Seamless Skin Elevated Glow Highlighter and Seamless Skin Enlivening Blush.
Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour
Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour is a cream lipstick with a sheer base that is comfortable to wear. It gives a flattering satin finish and is semi-sheer but buildable. It is now available in seven shades (an extra 6 added this launch) which range from browns and nudes to pinks and brights.
Seven shades: Painterly, Spirited Away, Rose Official, Kitten Mischief, Dance Card, Love of My Life and Atomic Cherry.
Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour are £26.00 and are Cruelty-Free, Vegan and free from Parabens, Talc, Fragrance, Nylon 12, D6, D5, Gluten, Alcohol and Silicon.
I have chosen Rose Official, Kitten Mischief, Dance Card and Atomic Cherry.
You can read my previous review of Love Of My Life here!
A beautiful rose-toned lipstick with a brightening blue base. This lip colour is a very pretty lipstick. It instantly brings life to ones face and has a very romantic feel to it. In this easy to wear formula, she becomes a quick way to add a flush of romantic pink to any makeup look.
A pinky-peach lipstick that will perk any complexion. This is a charming lip colour that has (somewhat) replaced my desire to touch Go Lightly so that I never use her up…let’s face it Go Lightly has become part of makeup history and now sits in my makeup collection as an object of virtu.
Dance Card is a wonderfully enlivening shade. It brightens the whites of my eyes and pulls out the blues too. The pretty peachy pink tones are soft, buttery, yet brightening at the same time.
Lisa describes this as a “buttery caramel pink” and goodness she is right. I love that this doesn’t pull too warm on me, that the pink tones shine through yet it is still a wonderfully nude lip. A perfect shade for everyday wear or indeed to pair with a more elaborate eye look.
Kitten Mischief Available here
A stunning coral red perfect for Summer. I hoped that Lisa would launch a coral this Summer so when I saw this shade it was a no brainer!
It is beautifully sheer, yet the colour still shows through. What an easy way to toy with bright tones in a very wearable lipstick. Where a shade like this in a matte formula may scare some, in this Luxuriously Lucent satin finish, it is a breeze to wear.
If you’d like to see Love Of My Life I have it reviewed on the blog in “Summer Pinks” and in an Instagram IGTV and Reel.
Luxuriously Lucent Lipstick Packaging
Packaging for the Luxuriously Lucent Lipsticks is the same as all lipsticks in the Lisa Eldridge makeup line. Lipsticks live in gorgeous gold houses that are chic and matte and have a vintage feel to them. The holders and lid have magnets in them making them easy to close with a satisfying clunk (if not a little tricky to work with when making them dance together in stop motion videos…😁)
Lipsticks come in white card boxes with the Lisa Eldridge Logo, ingredient list and reverent product information.
Luxuriously Lucent Lipsticks are £26.00 3.5g
Luxuriously Lucent Lipstick Thoughts
I’m such a fan of the Luxuriously Lucent Lipsticks. I find them very easy to wear. The True Velvets are incredible, as are the Insanely Saturated and in theory, it always surprises me that they tick my boxes so much as I tend to steer away from matte lipsticks because I have very dry lips (as I’ve mentioned in those lipstick reviews). However, the formula of Lisa’s lipsticks is amazingly wearable, even for this dry lipped gal!
So it would then make sense that a cream lipstick would be right up my street.
These lipsticks are a comfort to your lips, they are easy to apply and don’t require a steady hand or a lip brush.
A lipliner is handy, however not essential, if you wish for your lips to have a little added structure.
The luxuriously Lucent Lipsticks do demand attention however, they require top ups and won’t last past a meal. But would you expect more from a sheer lipstick? I think not.
I’m so incredibly happy with my colour choices. They all have a unique appeal and are different to anything else I have in my collection, which makes them that little bit special.
Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss
Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss is a beautiful lipgloss with a difference. They aren’t like overly sticky, goopy lip glosses of the past. They are comfortable to wear and pack a punch in terms of caring and hydrating ingredients. Gloss Embrace contains vitamin E, wild mango kernel butter, acai berry oil, sunflower seed oil to nourish lips alongside their beautiful pigments; so not only do they look great but they feel amazing too.
Previously I have bought Muse and Go Lightly which I have loved! At this launch I chose Songbird.
Songbird is a pinky-nude. A soft nude that reminds me a little of a worn-in ballet slipper. To a non-dancer that may not sound all too romantic but to those of us who are or have been dancers (those of us who still have our old ballet shoes in drawers) you know that’s a compliment. It is a soft, muted pink blended with muted earthy nude tones. A simple, yet luxuriously soft shade that is wonderfully balanced and gives the lips a “your lips but better” appearance.
Topped with the gorgeous blend of hydrating and nourishing ingredients, Gloss Embrace is certainly a treat. A hug for your lips if you will.
I don’t fully agree with those who say it is a completely non-sticky gloss, I do find it a little tacky but nothing like other glosses and for me, it is certainly not uncomfortable.
Gloss Embrace Lipgloss is cruelty-Free, Vegan, free from Parabens, Talc, Fragrance, Nylon 12, D6, D5, Gluten, Alcohol and Silicon.
Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss £18.00 4.5ml

And now to Seamless Skin, the move into the base range of makeup in the Lisa Eldridge Collection. We have two products launching, Enlivening Blush and Elevated Glow Highlighter.
Enlivening Blush is a makeup-skincare hybrid. A blend of skincare ingredients, blurring technology and stunning pigments create a perfected blush with a true skin-like appeal.
The finish of the blush sits somewhere between dewy and matte, one that is flattering and very natural.
Contains rosemary leaf extract, bilberry and raspberry seed oils, for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties
The formula is a true cream blush but is very light weight. It is malluble and easy to work with.
The blush is non-greasy and non-comedogenic.
Available in six shades. Cruelty-Free, Vegan and free from Parabens, Talc, Nylon 12, D6, D5 and Alcohol.
Pink Soap Enlivening Blush
Pink Soap is a beautiful natural blush tone in a dusty rose. It is a subtle, pretty blush that doesn’t overpower, merely enhances light-medium skin tones.
Only a pinch of product easily provides two soft layers on each cheek for a pretty and pulled together ‘barely there’ blush.
I’m wearing Pink Soap in the images above with Kitten Mischief and Dance Card lipsticks. There are swatches further below.
Pink Poetry Enlivening Blush
Pink Poetry is a fresh warm-toned hit of pink which instantly adds a flush of colour to the cheek. Again, only a dab of product is needed to create a seamless blush that truly enlivens the face.
I’m wearing Pink Poetry in the images above with Songbird Gloss Embrace, Atomic Cherry and Rose Official.
Enlivening Blush Packaging And Price
The blush is in a chic white tube with a cap and a clear nozzle that shows the shades (perfect for a makeup artist’s kit).
Each blusher has a white card box with the Lisa Eldridge logo, the ingredients list is on the back along with all reverent product information.

Enlivening Blush Thoughts
Enlivening Blush is a true cream blusher that comes in a tube, not unlike a tube of artists paint. In fact, it almost feels like this as you squeeze the product from the tube to the back of your hand or palette. It is an interesting product in that it appears thick in texture, it takes a little effort to squeeze from the tube, however, once a finger gently dabs the top of the blush it melts, the apparent ‘thickness’ seems no more.
Enlivening Blush is rich in pigment and a little truly goes a long way, however, it is certainly not a blush to be afraid of. The formula is incredibly malleable and blends easily. In what appears to be an oxymoron, the blush is densely pigmented yet blends into a sheer, wearable blusher.
The blush applies well with both fingers or a brush. I tend to prefer using my fingers for cream products such as this, however, I tried both and it was with ease.
Does Enlivening Blush hold up in terms of longevity? It turns out it does. This is something that cream products tend to lack, creams will in their nature move and break down over the day, however, Enlivening Blush does have some serious staying power which impressed me. I found Pink Poetry to still be as vibrant as when I applied it at the end of the day, Pink Soap less so, but still apparent, much to be expected from a blusher of its gentle tone.
As you only need a tiny amount per application you get your monies worth and it is going to last!
All in all, I’m very impressed and look forward to adding further shades to my collection.
Elevated Glow Highlighter
Oh my, when the news broke that Lisa was launching a liquid highlighter I gasped hard! My hopes were high, ever so high. So the question is, does Elevated Glow Highlighter live up to them?
Perhaps this is Lisa Eldridge’s flaw. Firstly, I haven’t disliked one of her product launches yet. Each lipstick has worked for me and I see a place for them both in my pro kit and my personal makeup collection. Am I a little biased because she’s a bit of an icon to me, well yes of course, but look, I’m also an honest bean, especially where makeup is concerned. When someone creates such exceptional work, when ‘seamless skin’ is their makeup ID, when past makeup launches have been great and when we know Lisa is a genius with pigment and texture; well we expect, we want and we hope for a lot. So yes, I had high expectations when it came to the Seamless Skin range… I wasn’t disappointed. Phew…
Elevated Glow Highlighter Crystal Nebula
Elevated Glow is a skincare infused liquid highlighter. It appears that so far, each product in the Seamless Skin sets out to both look good and do good too. The highlighter creates a luminous glow to the skin that is sheer and stunning. Glow is buildable from a natural glow to a more amped up affair.
Elevated Glow contains a biopolymer that creates a mesh-like effect, gently tightening and smoothing the skin, leading to a flattering finish.
The highlight comes in 4 shades to suit all skin tones and under tones. I chose the shade Crystal Nebula, a light champagne toned highlighter with small multicoloured “shimmering pearls”.
Elevated Glow Highlighter is Cruelty Free, Vegan, free from Parabens, Talc, Fragrance, Gluten, Nylon 12, D6 and D5.
Elevated Glow Highlighter Packaging And Price
A frosted glass bottle houses the glowy highlighter. Lisa Eldridge branding and product details don the bottle which is topped with a matte gold lid. The lid unscrews to show a chunky doe foot applicator making Elevated Glow easy to apply.
Not unlike others in the Lisa Eldridge range, the highlighter bottle come in a white card box, which has the brand logo, product details and ingredients printed.
All packaging and bottles are recyclable.
Elevated Glow Highlighter is £27.00 for 13ml, in comparison to others within her market standing:
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Highlighting Fluid £36.00 30ml
Kevyn Aucoin The Glass Glow Highlighter £26.00 30ml
Suqqu Shimmer Liquid Highlighter £26.00 7.5ml
Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter £34.00 10ml
As you can see Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow Highlighter sits in the middle in terms of price and product net weight.

Elevated Glow My Thoughts
She is but a dream and everything I had hoped for. There I said it. Now that I’ve got that off my chest, let’s get down to the details. Firstly, you need the smallest amount of product to create the most beautiful of glow. So you’re getting your monies worth. There are a few very clever things about this highlighter, so bear with me while I wax lyrical.
The formula is incredibly sheer, think moreso than your moisturiser, this is a true liquid highlighter. Once blended it feels like skin. You will forget you are wearing it. The subtle tightening effects are there and they are welcome. As a woman approaching the latter end of my 30’s, I will take any tightening and lifting I can get in this area. Of course, it is too early to comment on any of the skincare benefits having an effect but I’m certainly appreciative of them being there.
What I think is one of the most beautiful things about this highlighter is that it can look like you’re not wearing one. That your skin has the most impeccable, healthy glow, but not caked in makeup or an obvious line of glitter. And that it is not: a glittery highlighter. The shimmer comes in the form of mixed metal tone shimmer pearls. Once built up, you can just make out delicate, tiny shimmer in some lights silver, in other gold; and it is pretty, simply pretty.
So I say this. If highlighter scares you, if the thought of applying it to textured skin, or smile lines is a worry. If glitter stripes from outer space put you off highlighter for life, check out Elevated Glow. It is different. Think sheer, skin-like, pretty, wear as you like, build your own glow-highlight. Gosh, I’m a fan.
All swatches are taken on an iPhone 13pro in natural daylight (indoors by a large window). Swatches are unedited. Blush and highlighter have large thick swatches below and blended product (as worn) above.
Well, I think you can tell I have not been disappointed. I have worn the highlighter and blush bare-faced and full-faced. Asked my Mum “what do you think of my highlighter?” to which she replied “highlighter? you just look glowy and healthy?”, then the next day “ooh I see the glow!”. Yes, folks, you can wear it like ‘skin’ and build it up.
My Mum, makes an excellent makeup reference btw.
Enlivened Blush is a blush for everyone, especially for anyone who ever feared blush-yes even though they look mega pigmented. This is because they are so very easy to work with, so beautifully sheer on application and heavenly to wear. They build well and they last.
The new additions to the Luxuriously Lucent Lipsticks that I have tried are beautiful. I can see myself wearing Kitten Mischief and Dance Card a lot as daily shades!
What a fabulous launch! If you’re looking for lightweight sheer lipsticks then do give these a try, more of a matte fan? Check out the Velvets.
I’ve adored the launch of Seamless Skin and I can’t wait to see what Lisa comes up with next. I am dreaming of a foundation…….Please, Lisa? Pretty please?
Lisa Eldridge’s Summer 2021 Collection has been gorgeous! Did you try anything? What was your favourite piece from the collection?
