Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer & Desert Haze Eyeshadow Palette Review
They’re here! The newest beauties to join team Tilbury line up are the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer and the Desert Haze Luxury Eyeshadow palette and I have both open, ready and tested to review for you! Are you ready for the juicy goss?
Airbrush Bronzer
First up we have the newest addition in the bronzed goddess set up with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer. Inspired by the Airbrush Powder, one of the best products in the Tilbury range in my opinion, the Airbrush Bronzer uses the same ‘Beautifying Airbrush DNA’ and has the same soft focus effect leaving your skin looking flawless.

- Contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin
- Mica to leave skin feeling silky smooth
- Silica adds a velvety texture and reflects the light for a soft-focused effect.
- Micro – Fine perfecting powders to deliver an invisibly thin, silky filter on the skin
So it’s a bronzer but more than a bronzer. I put the Airbrush Bronzer through a ‘First Impressions’ test in my latest IGTV video to see if the same technology did indeed compare to the Airbrush Powder and I was instantly impressed. There is an immediate flawless finish to the skin, a filtered yet real appearance, it’s simply beautifying.
Powder Bronzer
It’s a powder bronzer but it certainly isn’t heavy on the skin. It doesn’t enhance any skin texture nor does it sit in any drier areas. The Airbrush Bronzer contains hyaluronic acid and so is hydrating to the skin and non-drying, it’s rather comfortable to wear.

Shade Range
The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer is available in four shades: Fair, Medium, Tan, Deep.
See the full shade range here.
AirBrush Bronzer Vs Filmstar Bronze And Glow
Ok, now one of my most asked questions has been how does the Airbrush Bronzer compare to Filmstar Bronze and Glow? So let’s take a closer look.

Filmstar Bronze And Glow is available in two shades; ‘Light to medium’ and ‘medium to dark’. The palette has a bronze and a highlight shade. I have the ‘light to medium’ palette.
Airbrush Bronzer comes in four shades and out of these I believe ‘medium’ is the closest match to the ‘light to medium’ Filmstar Bronze And Glow Palette.
Regarding colour, the ‘Bronze and Glow‘ is a much cooler undertone to it than the ‘Airbrush Bronzer‘.
I also think you can really see the blurring effect of the Airbrush Bronzer in this comparison, there’s no skin edits whatsoever to this image, so the difference in how the two powders appear on the skin really shows the different technology in the new bronzer.
Packaging

Oh the packaging (cue swooning)! Charlotte has outdone herself with this little number. A heavy, oyster like compact, rose gold in colour, vintage in style, closes with a firm, expensive, well made clasp. The CT logo etched into the metal casing, this is a stylish little, no big number. Inside we have a large mirror and the bronzer which sits within the classic Tilbury surrounding. Divinely vintage, stunningly luxurious. What’s more, and very exciting, is like the Hot Lips 2 lipsticks, the Airbrush Bronzer is refillable! So, this decadent case is one to treasure and refill. Making it sustainable and easier on the purse.

Finish
It is a matte bronzer however it isn’t a flat matte. There is an effortless sheen, not by any means shine, but lovely glow to the skin all the while your makeup is set into place. The bronzer adds instant boost of radiant tan to the skin and leaves a beautifying finish. My skin feels silky and smooth due to the mica and my pores are blurred and perfected.
My Bronzing Thoughts
Could this be my favourite powder bronzer launch of late? Well yes it might just be! It is simply a delight. I love a product that is easy to use and leaves skin enhanced, this ticks both of those boxes. My skin looks radiant, with a healthy glow and not muddy in the slightest. The beauty of the soft focused effect can not be understated. There’s no heavy, caked, powered look here, just glorious skin. Medium is a perfect shade for my skin tone and I think that four shades is a great range to launch with. I love that the packaging is sustainable. Simply use a pin to pop through the hole of the back when you’re ready to refill the pan. Let’s not forget that this bronzer is HUGE, you’re getting a whopping 16g of product for your bucks here, I had to dig deep to pick out bronzers that kind of came up close – and it wasn’t close enough in terms of net weight.
Bravo Charlotte, bravo.

Desert Haze Luxury Eyeshadow Palette
The Desert Haze Luxury Eyeshadow Palette is a full collection of matte shadows in wonderfully warm, natural tones. Shades of peach, nudes and smokey brown are set to enhance all eye colours but make blue, green and hazel eyes pop thanks to the warm undertones.

Finish And Formula
This is a palette of four matte eyeshadows which follows from The Palette Of Pops, a palette of four glittery toppers. These eyeshadows are beautiful. Rich in tone, rich in pigment, a little goes a long way. Simply sweep over your eye for a light dusting or add more to develop depth. There is no chalkiness to the shadows whatsoever, often difficult to achieve with a matte eyeshadow. The shadows are velvety and smooth and enhance the appearance of the eye area.

Shadows
As usual with Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette’s with have the four shades.
Prime: A soft, neutral yet peachy nude to open the eye.
Enhance: A warm peach to enhance the eye, wear as a wash of colour or to add depth to the socket.
Smoke: A beautiful, rusty, terracotta shade to bring depth and smokiness to the eye
Define: A warm brown to add definition

Packaging
Akin to all of the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette’s, Desert Haze is a stunning aubergine tone with the CT logo taking pride of place on the front. It houses a full mirror and is slim and compact enough for any makeup bag, while being beautiful to dress any vanity.
Ease Of Use
This is what we want to know right? Matte eye shadows are notoriously tricky to make and often all the more tricky to get to grips with when applying makeup. Well folks, team Tilbury have cracked it. These are a dream to work with. If you watch my IGTV first impression video you’ll see how I applied too much product by accident (they really are that pigmented) but they are so creamy and smooth, this little wobble blended away effortlessly. There is no product ‘grabbing’ to the skin, no patchiness, the application is smooth and the blending process easy and there is little to no fall out.

Price Comparisons
Charlotte Tilbury Desert Haze Luxury Eyeshadow Palette £40.00 6g –Price Per Gram £6.60
Nars Eyeshadow Quad £40.00 5g –Price Per Gram £8.00

Note: I always try to do price comparisons with similar market comparable brands to be fair.
Eyeshadow Thoughts
By now I’m sure you’ll have realised that I’m impressed. The formula is really great. The matte shadows are rich and opaque in their pigment but not heavy on the eye. They are easy to apply and very buildable. There is a beautiful tweaking of undertones allowing the shadows to suit and enhance all eye colours but the warmth really does allow for those with lighter eyes to pop. A lightweight, velvet finish leaves untraceable texture to the skin meaning that shadows don’t enhance fine lines or textured skin. I love the colour way, it is earthy and rich and pretty day looks can be created in moments then taken to smokey, defined night looks in no time.
These are some beautiful matte eyeshadows that I’m happy to have in my collection. Here’s a look using both products!

What a launch! One last point is that these two products are cruelty free as Charlotte Tilbury is a cruelty free brand.
