Could Method, the brand renowned for cleaning products, deliver elsewhere? I’ve been enjoying getting to know the Method Body Wash in two scents, Pure Peace and Simply Nourish. Let’s explore whether they’re shower-worthy.

Method Body Wash

Key Ingredients

  • Plant-based moisturisers
  • Glycerin (to hydrate)
  • Paraben and phthalate-free formulas

Body wash is something we can go through quite often in my house, so I like one that not only cares for my skin, but is also purse friendly at the same time. Yes, it’s nice to treat ourselves sometimes, but most of the time we need bodycare that ticks all the boxes. That’s what I’m considering here. I also find my body to need a little more TLC in terms of moisture than my face, so gentle and non-irritating matters too.

Price Point And Packaging

The bottles have a nice curve to them with makes them sit well in your hand. The cap clips up with ease, and I found no issues opening this with my hand weakness. Perhaps a groove on the body of the bottle would be even more thoughtful in terms of accessibility, just for more grip.

Compared to others on the market, it certainly isn’t the most affordable shower gel option, but also not the most expensive either. I think the brand’s ethical ethos adds to the appeal.

Method Pure Peace Body Wash

  • Peony
  • Rose water
  • Pink sea salt

The fragrance is a fresh, soft floral with a slightly mineral note, designed to create a calming shower experience.
Oh, this is lovely! It has a Spring garden freshness to it; it is light and a treat in terms of its scent. The consistency is gel-like and more nourishing than I first expected, allowing it to fully coat my skin. It lathers well before easily rinsing away.

These ingredients aim to leave skin feeling soft and lightly scented without leaving any residue.

My skin feels nicely clean after use, not tight.

The floral fragrance feels bright but not overpowering, and while I can still smell its soft linger, it isn’t overpowering in the slightest (and I can be hypersensitive to some smells – an unfortunate chronic illness symptom of mine).

Method Body Wash Simply Nourish Review

  • Coconut
  • Rice milk
  • Shea butter

The scent is creamy, comforting. I’m hit with a mix of coconut and shea butter, it’s delightful.

This ingredient profile provides a more nourishing and moisturising cleanse compared with the Peony version. It feels comforting, lathers well and leaves my skin feeling calm and soft to the touch.

Like the Peony, there is no residue or tight feeling to my skin. As this one feels more nourishing, I’d recommend it to anyone seeking more hydration and comfort in their body care.

Who It’s Best For

Simply Nourish is more grounded and comforting, while still feeling a little sweet in its scent, whereas Pure Peace is a lighter, more refreshing version that is reminiscent of an English garden on a spring day. I’d choose based on your scent preference, and while both are designed to be hydrating, and they are, I’d suggest Pure Peace as a great everyday for those with normal-oily skin (this isn’t to say dry skins won’t enjoy it, however!) and Simply Nourish for anyone looking for extra comfort.

Final thoughts – Is Method Body Wash Worth Trying?

Method has created a range of eco-friendly body washes that deliver in terms of performance while staying true to their brand ethos.

Both versions have gone down a treat with my family, and I’m sure they will be restocked!
