How To Get Glowing Skin With Charlotte Tilbury Skin Care
Today I’m going to run through a morning skin care routine that truly brings glowiness! However, right out of the bat, I will say that while I love Charlotte Tilbury beauty, it’s not affordable. You don’t need every single skin care product in this routine, I hope that the information helps you to decipher which if any, best suits your skin needs.
Without further ado, let’s get on with this ultimate routine!
Skin Care Routine Order – Magic Hydration Cleanser
Your first step in both your morning and evening skincare routine is to cleanse. In the morning we want to freshen our skin and cleanse any products and oils away and at nighttime it’s important to remove any SPF, makeup, dirt and oils from your skin before following with skin care products so that we get the best from them!
Magic Hydration Cleanser is applied to dry skin; it transforms from a hydrating cream to a foam as you massage it into the skin. Once you add a little water the cleanser begins to emulsify, lifting away dirt and oils and is easily wiped away with a face cloth or rinsed with water.
The cleanser leaves skin feeling comfortable, hydrated and prepped for our next step.

How To Get Glowing Skin – Magic Hydrating Mist
I am a face mist fan! It is a quick and easy way to add light layers of hydration without leaving skin feeling weighed down and greasy. In fact, that’s a perfect way to describe the Magic Mist. It is gently scented, refreshing and an all-round pleasure to use.
Now using a skin care face mist is not an essential step, it is one of my favourites for topping up hydration levels and since hydrated skin = glowing skin, it would be remiss of me to not include it in this post.
Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner
A toner is a great way to increase hydration or add an active ingredient into a routine. In this case, the Glow Toner is all about plumping, hydrating and boosting the skins natural cell turnover.
It utilises niacinamide to help refine pores, RoyalEpigen P5, and Prickly Pear Cactus flower to gently exfoliate and increase cell turnover; Red Clover Flower extract to help minimise the appearance of pores and Sodium Hyaluronate to hydrate.
Gentle exfoliation naturally increases skin’s radiance as the old, dead skin cells are removed, and fresh bright skin is revealed.
I like to apply the toner with my hands, decanting it into my palms and then pressing it gently into my face.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum
You will see a pattern emerging within the Tilbury Skincare range – hydration, plumping and radiance are key! The same can be said for Magic Serum!
The serum boasts vitamin C to brighten skin and protect from free radical damage (something that causes dullness), REPLEXIUM™ is a peptide blend that encourages skin to behave more youthfully, targeting fine lines and increasing firmness. For hydration, Polyglutamic Acid is used which can be up to 4X more hydrating than Hyaluronic Acid.
The serum soaks in beautifully to the skin, leaving it feeling somewhat tacky and ready for the next step.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream
Water Cream is the lightweight, gel version of the iconic Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. While the original Magic Cream has a thicker, heavier texture, Water Cream is lighter while still providing plenty of hydration as it uses Waterlocking Fusion Technology™️ which helps to lock hydration into the skin.
It has a Biopeptide Complex and niacinamide to improve the appearance of skin tone and texture.
Water Cream suits normal-oily skin types particularly well and is a lovely lighter alternative in the warmer months.
While I do enjoy Magic Cream, particularly in the winter months, having oily skin Water Cream is my preferred texture and cream weight.
Magic Water Cream is silicone-free and fragrance-free.
Magic Lip Elixir
The secret to plump, kissable lips is hydration and with the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Lip Elixir, you certainly get that! I enjoy this lip oil so much that I have to place it a little out of reach otherwise I’ll sit and reapply it over and over!
It has a rollerball applicator which makes it a pleasure to roll the moisturising oil over your lips. It has a blend of nourishing oils, alongside aloe vera to truly care for your lips.
Now this isn’t a cheap lip oil, it is certainly a treat and there are other more affordable options on the market.
Invisible UV Flawless Poreless Primer
Designed to give a ‘soft focus’ effect to the skin, this primer not only preps your skin for makeup it also protects it against UV and free radical damage. Let me tell you, that damage is a recipe for zero glow!
Tilbury states the primer has an urban defence matrix which helps protect against damage from pollution. We have UVA/UVB SPF 50 protection (which I love!) and being a CT skincare product of course we have some peptides, hydrators and skin-blurring ingredients in there too. Essentially not only does this primer protect, but it perfects your skin at the same time.
It leaves a tacky base that’s perfect for makeup but one that isn’t uncomfortable to wear on makeup free days either – as I’m doing in this video here!
The texture is a gel-cream that is lightweight and non-greasy. SPF’s that are a pleasure to use don’t come around often and this is certainly one that I enjoy.
Skincare routine tips
If you’re ever confused about which order to apply your skincare, in general, you want to apply in order of thinnest to thickest textures.
Starting with cleansing, then misting, toning and moving to serums before sealing the hydration in with moisturiser or oil.
The only time to change this is if directed by the product instructions.
SPF should always be your last step (unless it’s Ultrasun – their tech works differently, please follow their guidelines).
Sunscreen application should be 2 finger lengths of product for the face, 3 finger lengths for face and next, to achieve the SPF value on the bottle.
The Tilbury Glow
That sums up our glowing skincare routine using Charlotte Tilbury skincare! My skin feels super hydrated and plumped and the glow, that radiance speaks for itself!
