Magic Vanish Under Eye Corrector By Charlottle Tilbury
Magic Vanish is one of the newest additions to the Charlotte Tilbury line up and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and try it out! A long-time sufferer of dark under-eye circles and a long-time user of eye correctors as a result, I was ready and waiting for Team Tilbury to add such a product to their line up.

Magic Vanish joins the Magic Away Concealer category (see what I thought of that here), so we’ll also be testing how well they play together.
What is it?
Magic Vanish is an under eye corrector designed to be used to counteract darkness under the eyes and on the face.
Correctors are used prior to concealer or foundation to lift darkness and shadows first. They also help makeup from looking ashy on top of unwanted darkness such as dark circles under the eyes.
Magic Vanish comes in four shades to suit all skin tones:
- Fair – Fair peach toned for those with lighter skin tones
- Medium – peach toned for medium skin tones
- Tan – Orange toned for medium to deep skin tones
- Deep – Orange-red toned for deep skin tones
You can view the shade range here.
Price
£24.00.
This is comparable to others on the market in the mid-high end makeup ranges.
Examples:
Becca’s Under Eye Brightner £21.00
Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift £40.00
Bobbi Brown Corrector £19.50
What Charlotte Tilbury say:
“Charlotte’s Magic Vanish! colour correctors neutralise and smooth to cheat and conceal pigmentation and brighten the appearance of your under-eye area, for a flawless-looking complexion!
The buttery, feather light compact formula magically colour corrects the appearance of various intensities of pigmentation, with 100% of people agreeing dark circles appear visibly neutralised and 99% agreeing it smooths the look of skin!” – Charlottetilbury.com
What makes it magic?
- Flavonoids help to disguise the appearance of under-eye bags.
- Carnauba Wax adds structure and body to the formula for silky-smooth application.
- Mica has a magical luminous, brightening effect on the skin!
- Microspheres make the formula super blendable for a perfect, natural-looking skin finish!
Texture
Magic Vanish is a cream product with a thin but densely pigmented texture.

Application
I like to apply it with my fingers and tap it under my eyes (as I do with most cream products of this type) as the warmth of your fingers gently warms the corrector. Magic Vanish applies very well with punchy pigment and blends beautifully with a gentle dab of the ring finger.
Applying so perfectly with fingers makes it perfect for those on the go.
Finish
There is a smoothing of my fine lines and an instant correction of my under eye darkness. Magic Vanish feels as though it sets, however, shows no signs of doing so. There is no cakey-ness or under eye creasing and the extra layer (of corrector, as opposed to without) does not intensify fine lines.
Before in image 1, with only the corrector in the 2nd image and with both Magic Vanish in shade medium and Magic Away Concealer in the 3rd.

How Does It Play With Magic Away?
Magic Vanish joins the Magic Away Concealer lineup in an effort to banish darkness for good, but do the formulas work well together? Magic Away Concealer is one of my favourite all time concealers so I needed Magic Vanish to not only play well, meaning work well in terms of layering, but also last and not crease or pile. It would stand to hope that buying two products from the same line would do this.

Thankfully I was right. With the Magic Vanish setting slightly there is no movement or slipping as you apply Magic Away Concealer on top. I apply the concealer in the same patting motion and find only enhanced concealed results. Call me impressed.
Fragrance
It does not contain fragrance.

Who will like it
•Those who wish to lift any darkness

Who won’t like it
•Anyone looking for a high street priced product of this kind.
(My favourite high street under eye corrector is NYX Dark Circle Corrector £7.50)
Packaging
The packaging stands up to the Charlotte Tilbury line. It is like a mini Airbrush Flawless Powder, a small oval tin in the rose gold we have come to know, love and expect from team Tilbury.
Final thoughts
I’m really glad that Charlotte Tilbury added a corrector to their range. Instead of doing what many brands have done in recent years and added multiple correcting primers and all sorts at the same time, they have focused on one product. A main concern for many consumers is under eye darkness so Magic Vanish makes sense. The shade range is inclusive and the product highly pigmented, necessary to counteract darkness. The cream itself is lovely to work with and melts beautifully into the skin. It really is quite fool proof.
A hydrating, brightening and light formula that compliments the products in the same category (of course I’m talking about my favourite concealer yet again) it really is a winner.
This girl with panda like dark eye circles is definitely a fan.

That sounds like really great stuff. I’m a plain Jane and don’t wear make up but this sounds like something I could use for sure. 🙂
what’s great is it’s a product everyone can use as it’s simply to help brighten dark circles and it’s so light so doesn’t feel as though you’re wearing makeup, so if you did want something that didn’t look like or feel like makeup this would be a great option!
This looks like great stuff. Great review.
Thanks! It really is fantastic!
I need to start using an under eye cream. This looks like a great product at an affordable price!
I find it helps me a lot when I hydrate my under eyes. Really helps plump the skin and prep it for makeup. I am in love with this product!
The results are amazing! You’re ‘before’ picture is beautiful but I feel like your eyes look so bright in the after pictures! Thanks for the great suggestions.
