Ok, you know by now that one thing that I get very excited about is lipstick. I don’t know why, OK maybe I do…the colour, the pigment, the texture, the ability to lift one’s mood in a matter of moments…I digress, now where was I… Yes, lipstick excites me, so you can imagine my glee when the new L’occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks collection arrived at my beauty desk! Behold, utter squeals of joy indeed.
Of course, I have put these beauties to the test, for your viewing pleasure, obviously…
let’s get down to the details!
L’occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks
The lipstick launch for L’occitane consists of four fruity offerings in an array of pinks and reds. L’occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks are formulated with fruit and vegetable extracts and vitamin E to care for, hydrate and protect the lips.
They are a liquid lipstick with a satin finish and L’occitane promise a long-lasting, comfortable finish with up to 8hrs of wear.
Packaging

The liquid lipsticks come in gorgeous oval-shaped tubes that to me resemble the shape of tulips! Each lipstick bottle matches the shade of the lipstick itself. The handles are metallic silver with the L’occitane logo.

Each lipstick is housed in a recyclable card box, brightly coloured in a mustard yellow with a circle in the centre revealing the lipstick shade. All of the lipstick details are printed on the card box, including the ingredients and these details are both in English and French.
L’occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks contain 8ml of product and are priced at £20.00.
Shade Range
The shade range at launch is a bright hued lip lovers dream. It is a collection of pinks and reds that will suit all skin tones. The shades are bright and beautifully pigmented.
Swatches

The swatches from L-R are Pomlip, Carrose, Spring Surprise and Pomelove. This is one swipe, straight from the applicator. Image is unedited and taken in natural daylight.
Pomelip

Pomelip is the lightest shade in the collection. It is a true pink with cool, blue undertones. These undertones will make eyes appear more awake and teeth whiter. The pink is a perfect, fresh tone.
Free from silicone, mineral oils and vegetarian-friendly.

Pomelip is incredibly wearable, deeply hydrating and very forgiving.

Wear
L’occitane says that the Pressed Fruity Lipsticks offer up to 8hrs of wear time, I haven’t found them to last this long. They do last a few hours and wear as a stain, however they look best topped up after eating and drinking.
They are a satin finish so I’m not all together surprised that they aren’t the most longwear liquid lipsticks I’ve tried.
Pro Tip:
To increase wear time, apply a thin layer, then blot with a tissue (half the tissue to 2ply first), before applying your second coat. This creates a nice stain on the lips, aiding in longevity.
Price
Here’s a price comparison of some similar-ish liquid lipsticks on the market. The closest in feel I have in my collection is the By Terry Lip Expert Shine. It is that beautifully hydrating lip, the L’occitane is just a little more subtle in terms of the shine finish as it is satin.
L’occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks 8ml £20.00
Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick 3.6ml £18.00
Patrick Ta Silky Lip Creme 7ml £21.00
By Terry Lip Expert Shine 3ml £29.00
As you can see, the L’occitane lipstick works out quite comparative to the Patrick Ta and a lot cheaper than By Terry and Huda Beauty’s, for a lot more product too!
L’occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks
L’occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks are beautifully hydrating and very comfortable to wear. They are easy to apply and a very forgiving formula. The applicator is a great size and shape which allows you to be really precise with your application and therefore create a lovely, sharp lip line.
The bottle itself gives just the correct amount of product per dip and I found that two applications creates a beautifully, pigmented pout.
Wearing one coat and blotting is a great way to wear as a stain, which is a helpful tip to increase longevity and also a lovely way to wear a bright lip colour if you don’t wish to commit to it fully and want to wear it more muted.

The shades are beautifully pigmented and the colours are a fresh and pretty selection for this time of year. I’d love to see more neutral nudes and deeper tones added to the collection too!
There is a definite fragrance, a fruitiness that you smell only when applying. It is a fresh fruit smell however and not a synthetic ‘sweetie’ one, which is pleasant.
The lipsticks feel incredibly comfortable and hydrating on my lips, more like a hydrating lip balm than the traditional liquid lipsticks that we are used to.
The satin finish is pretty, flattering in fact and doesn’t enhance any fine lines or marks on my lips.
There is some transfer when drinking and mask-wearing, however, this is to be expected for a satin finish.

I think these are really pretty and if pinks and reds are your thing then these might just be for you! They really are easy to wear and a treat for your lips with a hit of hydrating and caring ingredients; what more would you expect from L’occitane?
