Evy Technology – SPF 30 – Daily Face Mousse

Evy Tech, the new SPF on the block(ish)

[AD | GIFTED | AFFILIATE LINKS]  Evy Technology Daily Face Mousse SPF30

I was sent this a quite a little while ago with, of course, no obligation to post after EVY launched in the UK. I do like to thoroughly test out a product before giving my thoughts on it and put it this way, I’m nearing the end of this can and I will happily be purchasing future supplies. Read on to find out what’s so good about this SPF and why I think it’s a great addition to a skincare routine.

What is it?

“A REVOLUTIONARY SWEDISH INVENTIONEVY SUNSCREEN MOUSSE IS BASED ON PATENTED MEDICAL SKIN CARE TECHNOLOGY AND HAS BEEN MANUFACTURED IN SWEDEN SINCE 1999.” Evy Technology

A mousse with SPF30 5* UVA rating, which when applied sinks into the top layer of the skin providing an effective barrier. It is broad spectrum with both UVA and UVB protection. A water-resistant, sweat proof formula which can last up to 6 hours (according to Evy Tech).

It can be applied to the eye and lip area as well as the entire face, neck and body.

This particular SPF from the EVY Technology collection is marketed as an ‘anti-ageing’ formula. While I’m not a fan of this term in general, they have reason for doing so. It contains ingredients which help promote regeneration, target pigmentation and protect against further skin damage. A 5* UVA rating gives excellent protection for UVA damage, UVA rays being the ones responsible for the damage which causes photo ageing (amongst other harm of course).

Aerosol can of a SPF. The can is two shades of tan brown, one lighter one darker and the lid is white. The logo is orange and reads 'EVY TECHNOLOGY' followed by 'DAILY UV FACE MOUSSE' in white. The can in sat on a white window sill with white and green spring flowers behind to decorate. The light is shining in from a window on the left out of picture.

What Evy say

The advanced technology strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier and protects against external irritants and desiccants. EVY also works as a carrier for active ingredients that spread throughout the entire top layer of the skin instead of remaining on the surface. This makes the active substances such as antioxidants and sun filters particularly effective.”– Evy Technology

What’s different about it?

A stand out feature is definitely the mousse texture and formula. The application is seamless and indeed a pleasure. The product is long lasting and durable. It is non-sticky and not shiny (a big win for those of us with oilier skin types). The aerosol can makes for an easy and clean application (no sticky bottles here) and a germ-free, airtight (therefore hygienic) product.

The mousse is in a concentrated form which expands upon application. EVY state that their 150ml can amount to approximately twice as much as a standard equivalent lotion or cream.

How do you apply?

Using the pump, Evy Technology suggests a golf ball size is sufficient. I squeeze this to my fingers, rub gently until it breaks down into more of a light cream texture and then massage gently onto face and neck.

The texture

This is part of what makes this SPF a pleasure to apply. Evy’s daily mousse is a joy to use. Don’t think hair mousse of the ’80s that was crispy and dry, this is smooth and luxuriously silky. It is also hydrating and plumping thanks to added hyaluronic acid and glycerin.

Does it leave a white cast?

No.

Is it chemical/ physical

It is chemical/organic SPF.

Is EVY Technology cruelty free?

Here’s what they say:

“We can guarantee that none of our finished products have ever been tested on animals. Our products have been tested on people for the past 20 years. Animal skin is not the same as human skin; animal tests are not only unnecessary but also inaccurate.”Evy Technology

Who might love this

With its long wear and water-resistant/sweatproof formula, this will be popular with those who are active, who train and spend a lot of time in the outdoors.

People who like light, non-greasy textures may also be a fan.

Those who prefer chemical/organic SPF products.

Anyone who has melasma. The added vitamin C and a good level of sun protection, used daily are essential in keeping this at bay.

Who might not like it

This particular one contains vitamin C. Personally a favourite active of mine and a gold standard to pair in or with sun protection. However, not everyone can tolerate it. If this is you, you may prefer the SPF50 Kids. Perfect for sensitive skin, free from perfume, alcohol and fragrance. Although marketed for children, this is perfectly suitable for anyone and an incredibly gentle formula. In fact, I nearly tried this one out given my eczema but knowing I can tolerate Vitamin C I chose to go with the SPF30.

Those who prefer a mineral/inorganic SPF.

Features

•Hypo-allergenic

•Alcohol Free

•Anti-inflammatory

•Vitamin C

•Water resistant

Final thoughts

The application is thoroughly pleasing. I’ve never felt another suncare product like it. Forget sticky, heavy, thick applications. This is smooth and pleasant and makes a lovely base for makeup. I have been sufficiently protected while using the mousse. It is long wearing without being greasy or drying.

My skin type is oily and acne prone. It is also skin which at times can flare with eczema, neither flared with this product. I’m also a melasma fighter so love that this is a double whammy product, with both vitamin C and a good level of sun protection to help keep that at bay.

As with most ‘full’ SPF’s I don’t need to use a separate moisturiser while using this product. My serums and the SPF prove sufficient hydration, this is true with the Evy Technology Daily Face Mousse, the added glycerin and hyaluronic acid really coming into play here. The packaging allows for the product to remain sealed, kept fresh and germ-free, which is a dream.
It layers well and is a joy to wear, how many SPF’s can you say that about? Clearly, I’m a fan.

EVY Technology have offered my readers 15% off all products using the code ‘AMY15’ on their website www.evy.uk.com

Tips:
A longer massage of product into the skin ensure no piling under makeup.

I like to double cleanse at nighttime after use to thoroughly remove the product and clean my skin (as with all SPF’S).

  1. This looks like an incredible product! I spend a lot of time in the sun but where I live it’s always hot and sunny so having a product that actually feels good on my skin, especially my face sounds like a dream. I’ll have to see if it’s available here in the US!

    1. Oh I’m a bit jealous of your weather-especially given it is pouring down with rain here in Britain today!! That’s what I truly love about this product is that it does actually feel nice on the skin, so it’s nice to wear and it’s long lasting which is another bonus! I’ve just had a check and it’s available on amazon so that might work. If not, the EVY website may do international shipping!

    1. It’s an incredible product! I hadn’t either and I love it! It’s very soothing and hydrating!

  2. I like the sound of this. My 53-year-old face seems to be reverting back to that of a 15-year-old. Due to oiliness, I’d not be sure what type of product to use, because so many leave it feeling even more oily. I’d also only use hypo-allergenic, so Evy mousse sounds perfect. Nice review.

    1. Thanks! Yes, it can be so tricky to find sunscreens that don’t leave your skin feeling greasy can’t it. And in order to get the protection we need we need to find one that feels nice on the skin, so it can be a catch 22! This really is a beautiful product and wonderfully light.
