Be still my beating By Terry heart! The latest drop from By Terry has arrived in our online shopping lives and it’s a corker! You may be thinking this is just another highlighter palette but this my friends is not your average number. I’m just going to get right into it as I’m just too excited!

What Is It?
Well, the question should be ‘what isn’t it?!’ as blimey By Terry do claim quite a lot! It’s full name ‘Brightening CC palette Illuminating Colour Correcting Power‘ is a bit of a mouthful let’s face it.
“It’s a brightening powder, color corrector and cheek highlighter in one! Highlighter palette. Illuminating powder. Skincare infused formula. Enriched with rose extracts.” -By Terry
This palette and it’s containing powders promise to:
- brighten the skin
- add glow
- correct dullness
- neutralise redness
- minimise imperfections with skincare benefits of rosehip oil
- ‘Optical Glow’ technology
The powder uses a technology named ‘optical glow‘ which creates a flawless finish using soft-focus micro-spheres.
Shades
We have four shades in the palette. A beautiful subtle highlight shade, two blush tones and a radiance bronze.
And they truly are beautiful. The two blush shades, Pink Petal and Vibrant Rose are perfect for Spring and truly do bring a healthy glow to my complexion.
The palette only comes in one colour way and I do believe this is most suited to fair to olive complexions, while giving radiance to a deeper skin tone. I’d like to see By Terry bring out a second palette for more deeper skin tones.
Thoughts
When I first applied the powders I took a second glance at my skin, the blurring, perfecting effect was impactful. Reminiscent of the Hourglass Ambient Light Powders but with a little something extra. My skin looked perfected yet not powdered.
It wasn’t however until I took a photograph of my makeup about 15 minutes later that I truly saw just how incredible the By Terry Brightening CC Palette is. My skin had the most beautiful glow to it, a healthy ‘lit from within’ vibe that I certainly do not own.
There is a radiance to these powders and a beautifying finish to the skin. The hues are rather clever, in that the undertones work to liven any dullness, creating the appearance of a natural glow.
There is no sparkle here. No disco ball. No highlighter to be seen from out of space. This is grown-up glow. This is beautiful, healthy skin. It’s a highlighting, illuminating palette that doesn’t accentuate pores. It’s just blooming lush.

Cost
The palette is £42.00 for 6g. I’ve done a palette comparsion and price per gram work out below.
Is it the cheapest? No. Is it comparable to others in its market? Yes-ish. Is it worth it? All I’ll say is it’s incredible and I’m in love.
Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Palette £60.00 4 x 3.8g. £4 per gram.
Dior Backstage Face Highlighter Palette £36.00 10g. £3.6 per gram.
GUERLAIN – Météorites’ Illuminating Compact Powder £42.00 8g £5.25 per gram.
By Terry Brightening CC Palette £42.00 6g £7 per gram.
Hourglass Ambient Light Palette £61.00 3 x 3.3g £6.1 per gram.
Packaging
We might be stuck at home, longing for holidays but By Terry have taken us away with this mosaic-like packaging. It is simply divine! If you’re a bit of a magpie (like me), that is you’re attracted to all things shiny, then this may sell you on it itself!
Its pinks, mix with terracotta tones, embossed into the palette.
Final Thoughts
With the prettiest packaging, the powder itself pressed into rose-like form, this palette is a makeup lovers dream and that’s before we even begin to talk about the product; which is awesome.
Look, let’s face it, I do get excited about makeup easily but this palette, its got me thrilled! I swear the powders look better with wear and that’s saying something given the beautifying impact upon application. So, if you’re looking for a perfected grow-up glow, a rosy-hued or radiant cheek, well, perhaps you’ll want to check this little number out.
You’ll thank me later 😉
