Let’s chat cleansers! For me, cleansing is the perfect morning refresh and the treat at the end of the day to revive tired skin. I’ve discovered the types of cleansers that my skin truly enjoys and must say, Skin Rocks The Cream Cleanser has been one of my favourite additions of late! Let’s dive into why!

Skin Rocks The Cream Cleanser
Skin Rocks is the brand baby of skincare influencer Caroline Hirons. If you’re yet to hear of her, Hirons is pretty much up there, up there, with the top skincare gurus of the moment. She has worked with some of the best in the business, the most incredible brands and has the knowledge to boot; launching her own brand was inevitable.
The Cream cleanser is the first product that I picked up from Skin Rocks. I had been very well-behaved, I held off for so long, despite reading cracking reviews; until, of course, I eventually caved. Can you blame me?
I wanted to like The Cream Cleanser, frustratingly I love it…(now it’s time to stock up).
Packaging & Price
The cleanser comes in a bright pink squeezable tube that decants easily. It bears the Skin Rocks logo on the back, product details on the front and brightens any bathroom shelf.
I have found my cap to be a little temperamental, becoming tricky to open at times, however I haven’t read of anyone else having this issue, so I imagine it’s more of a one-off.
Skin Rocks The Cream Cleanser is £32 for 125ml. This does make it an indulgent option for a cleanser.

The cleanser is backed by both a clinical study and a consumer trial. In the clinical trial, the cleanser was proven to be suitable for sensitive skin and gentle enough for use around the eyes.
Fragrance vs fragrance free
Rather cleverly, Skin Rocks offers the cleanser in a fragranced and fragrance free version. Meaning those who enjoy indulgent cleansing with beautiful scents can do so and those who find fragrances irritating can still enjoy the product.
I tend to find some fragranced cleansers irritating around the eyes, so opted for the latter.
At this point, I have only tried fragrance free options from the brand, so I am unable to commit to the scent.
My Experience
For ref: my skin is oily/combo with sensitive areas. I’ve tended to reach for gel cleansers the most throughout my teens and 20s, however in my 30s to now (beginning of 40s) I have started to add in richer textures for my first cleanse.
Described as being ‘skin-conditioning’ the cleanser is a lotion weight that has plenty of slip and moves around the face with ease.
It emulsifies well with water and removes easily by rinsing or with a face cloth.
I find that this cleanser does a good job of breaking down makeup, skincare and oils and always double cleanse when this is required.
This Skin Rocks cleanser feels luxurious and makes cleansing such a pleasurable experience. What’s more, skin is left feeling comfortable and cared for post cleanse, not stripped or tight whatsoever. The sensitive area around my mouth and chin particularly enjoys this.
Tip: In the morning, I enjoy popping the cleanser on and leaving it for a few moments while brushing my teeth, really allowing the nourishing ingredients to work before emulsifying and removing.
Final Thoughts
I have to say this was a cleanser that took me by surprise. I expected to like it, what I didn’t expect was to fall in so with it so much, I’m naturally a gel cleanser girl after all. This oily/combo skinned girl has succumbed to cream cleansers and my goodness, with options like this, they’re here to stay in my routine!
