Liz Earle Glow Range

This range is all about radiance and achieving an optimal glow from healthy, hydrated skin. Liz Earle launched the Cleanse and Glow cleanser last year and I have to say it has firmly become a favourite of mine! So I was thrilled to hear that the line would be expanding!

Liz Earle is cruelty-free, focused on sustainably and traceability in farming practices. Their products use botanical ingredients that are gentle but effective.

There are key ingredients that are used throughout the three (current) products in the range. I’d like to dive into those for a moment so we can appreciate their benefits.

As you can see, all of these ingredients help to protect, nourish and brighten the skin – but all do so in a gentle manner.

Liz Earle Glow Range - Includes a cruelty free skincare: cleanser, toner, moisturiser

Hero ingredients in this range:

Acerola Cherry (Found in the cleanser, toner, and moisturiser)
(Malpighia glabra)

Highly rich in antioxidants (particularly vitamin C), these cherries have great brightening benefits as well as protecting skin from environmental aggressors throughout the day.

Organic Black Bee Honey
(Found in the cleanser)

A very soothing, nourishing and balancing ingredient.

Elderberry Oil (Found in the cleanser)
(Sambucus nigra)

Elderberry oil helps to nourish the skin. It is rich in fatty acids which help support the skin barrier.

Prickley Pear (Found in the toner and moisturiser)
(Opuntia ficus-indica)

Prickly Pear helps to exfoliate skin but is more gentle than acids such as glycolic.

Sea Buckthorn (Found in the toner and moisturiser)

Helps to brighten skin and is antioxidant rich and full of vitamin A.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Glow™ Transforming Gel Cleanser

Liz Earle Cleanse and Glow Cleanser. This cruelty free skincare brand has a cleanser with an gel - oil texture, perfect to remove SPF and makeup
Liz Ealre Cleanse and Glow cleanser
  • Cleanses for luminous, glowing skin in 30 seconds
  • A gel-to-oil-to-milk cleanser that effectively removes SPF & makeup & rinses away, leaving clean, radiant skin.

This has to be one of my favourite cleanser launches of last year. It is a gel-to-oil-to-milk cleanser. The gel is a thick consistency with quite a high melting temperature. Therefore it is best to rub it between your fingers for a few seconds before applying it to the face.

Once massaged over the skin, dampen with wet fingertips to emulsify (this is the ‘milk’ stage), from there you can simply wash away, or remove it with a cloth.

The cleanser is very effective and can remove SPF and makeup. The fragrance is uplifting without being too overpowering. I really enjoy that it isn’t necessary to use a face cloth to remove as my skin can find nightly face cloth use too aggressive. So I do love that rinsing is an option.

My skin is left feeling clean and not stripped, ready for my skincare.

Key ingredients in the cleanser help to nourish the skin and remove the build up of product and dirt from the day.

The cleanser contains honey therefore is not vegan.

Liz Earle Smooth & Glow™  Exfoliating Tonic

  • Instantly glowing, renewed skin
  • Utilises antioxidant-rich botanicals
  • Hydrates
  • Suitable for all skin types,
  • A gentle alternative to acid exfoliation

The same lightweight, water-like consistency of the original Skin Tonic, with brightening benefits.

Lovers of Instant Boost Skin Tonic will instantly be interested in this new toner addition! Smooth & Glow feels very much like its sister, Skin Tonic. It is water-like in consistency and instantly hydrates the skin. The difference? Smooth & Glow utilises Prickly Pear extract to gently exfoliate, acerola cherry to brighten and sea buckthorn to nourish.

So this is the toner you want to choose if you perhaps feel your skin needs more radiance. It is a great option if you find exfoliating acids (glycolic, mandelic, lactic, salicylic etc) to be too harsh to tolerate.

I am currently using Tretinoin via Dermatica (keep an eye out for my upcoming review!) and as skin can become more sensitive whilst using Tretinoin, you have to be mindful of what you use alongside it in your skincare routine. I have found it very easy to slot this toner into my morning routine because it is so gentle but still yields results. So has been a great option in this case.

It is wonderfully lightweight and a pleasure to use.

Liz Earle Glow Range – Revitalise and Glow Moisturiser
  • Nourishes naturally exfoliates and minimises the look of pores
  • Leaves skin instantly brighter
  • Lightweight but hydrating gel-cream texture

With Spring and warmer days around the corner, I look to gel textured moisturisers so this is a welcome launch! Revitalise & Glow is pleasantly scented, and lightweight but hydrating in a gel-cream texture. Formulated with antioxidants from acerola cherry and prickly pear; providing nourishment with the help of sea buckthorn and glycerin.

The cream has an absolutely beautiful texture that smooths skin & leaves a radiant complexion. This is an ideal texture and weight for my oily/combo (dehydrated) skin. Perhaps more dry skins would look to a richer cream.

Return Policy

Liz Earle has a no-quibble 60 days return policy if it’s not the right fit (or causes an allergic reaction). The brand appreciates that the average skin renewal time is 28 days, therefore a longer return window is best.

Final Thoughts

What a welcome line this is! A great launch for anyone who wishes to see results from products with more gentle botanical ingredients.

All three products ooze luxury and make a routine feel like a self-care moment.
