Let’s Look At The Ingredients
This facial treatment focuses on Poly Hydroxy Acid (PHA) which is a great option for all skin types but particularly those who are prone to sensitivity. As PHA have a larger molecular weight than AHAs or BHAs, they don’t penetrate as deeply into the skin, which makes them a more gentle option in comparison to the likes of Glycolic (AHA) or salicylic acid (BHA) options.
REN Skincare PHA Exfoliating Facial is a dual exfoliating treatment. It utilises Pomegranate Powder as a manual exfoliator while PHA and Pomegranate Enzymes dissolve and break down dead skin cells, revealing fresh skin.

Pomegranate Enzymes – help to break down and digest dead skin cell
Pomegranate Powder – acts as an effective physical exfoliant
There are nourishing and hydrating ingredients: shea butter and glycerin.
Packaging And Price
The facial comes in a small orange squeezable tube which is easy to open and use. Instructions are on the back and also noted on an outer card sleeve.
While you don’t need much, I wish the exfoliator came in a bigger size option than the current 30ml.

Texture & Application
The texture is thick, and creamy with a natural exfoliating natural pomegranate powder.
To apply, it is recommended to be smoothed onto damp skin and massaged gently. The massage aids physical exfoliation while the natural chemical, PHA, gets to work.
I find it’s best to remove with a face cloth, then rinse to ensure all product is removed.

This may be gentle but it is powerful! My skin feels exceptionally smooth after using this. My skin has a natural glow and the texture is immediately improved. The following day, my skin is still glowing and thanks to PHA continues to renew gently.
I don’t experience any irritation with this exfoliator, even on more sensitive areas of my face.
REN recommends that you can use this 2-3 times a week. I’d suggest that’s a little too often, in particular, if you are using other actives in your routine. I like to use this once a week (on a day off retinoids) or to prep skin for a special occasion.
