Today I’m excited to share with you an independent British brand, Cult 51 London. With a range consisting of serums, creams, eye creams and more, there’s something for all. Let’s dive straight in!
Cult 51 London
So who is Cult 51 London? Created in Surrey, England, Cult 51 London was founded by Chemist Richard Mears who has a career formulating products for major cosmetic companies. Frustrated with an oversaturated market of multiple products for different areas of the face, neck and body, Richard developed what he believed to fit a ‘one-cream skin’ routine. Essentially, less fuss but without compromising on ingredients quality or product performance.
Cult 51 London launched in 2013 with its first product, the Night Cream, now in 2022 they boast 7 skincare products within their range as well as tools and bamboo silk pillowcases.
Cult 51 London is an independent skincare company that manufacture within the UK. Their products are cruelty-free and they are Leaping Bunny certified.
Products are vegan where possible, some items contain collagen, this is stated for each product.
Cult 51 London has a mission to continue to improve the sustainability of its products as an ongoing project.
Cult 51 London has two pledges:
- To only retail products that Richard believes to be better, more sophisticated and more effective than the skincare alternatives that are already available.
- To keep simplicity at the core and never release multiple products when a single beauty elixir can reveal the beautiful even skin you crave. (Cult 51 London Website)
Pacakging

All of the skincare products are housed in an aubergine card box with the Cult 51 London logo and product details labelled.
The skincare products themselves are the most beautiful iridescent, mother of pearl pump containers and tubs. The Eye Repair and Immediate Effect Serum are in an airless pump, ensuring the efficacy of the product.
They all look very beautiful and really can be laid out to dress a vanity in between use (and who doesn’t love a gorgeous vanity set up?!).
Immediate Effect Serum
The appropriately named Immediate Effect Serum produces results fast. This is a serum that is great if and when you wish to have a softening of fine lines and wrinkles. Within minutes (think 10-15) there is a lifting and softening effect to the areas of skin that it is applied to, therefore it makes a great base for makeup or indeed to be worn alone.
Of course, this isn’t its only benefit; it is a skincare product after all. Immediate Effect Serum also offers a host of benefits to the skin. Targets fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, stimulates collagen, elastin production and increases hydration and nourishes the skin.

Notable Ingredients:
Ruscus Aculeatus Root Extract: an antioxidant and great for helping with darkness under the eyes.
Centella Asiatica Extract: rich in antioxidants and amino acids
Green Tea Extract & Vitamin C: powerful antioxidants
Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract: an antioxidant with soothing benefits
Argan Oil: rich in fatty acids and nourishing
Glycerin: hydrating
Caffeine: Helps to depuff
It is suitable for all skin types.

Eye Repair
Cult 51 London Eye Repair Serum is designed to target dark circles, puffiness and signs of ageing.
By strengthening blood vessels it works to decrease the appearance of darkness under the eyes, be it caused by fatigue or genetics. It is a lightweight serum that packs a punch in the antioxidant department. Working to protect the delicate eye area from environmental factors before they can cause damage – proven in clinical trials too, pretty good right?
Cult 51 states “It contains 15% pre-loaded oxygen which increases microcirculation to the area, reducing eye puffiness.”
Eye Repair is a pleasure to use with a hydrating finish. I awake to plump skin on a morning after using the night before.

It is non-greasy, feels lightweight to wear and most certainly add luminosity to the skin. An absolute pleasure to use.

Night Cream
“The night cream works in synergy with your skin’s metabolism to regenerate cells and give your skin a more youthful appearance.” –Cult 51
With a slightly richer texture, Night Cream deeply nourishes the skin overnight. It is a thick gel-cream that melts into the skin, is enjoyable to apply, has a pleasant -although slightly strong – scent and doesn’t feel too heavy on application. I do apply a little less around my T-zone with the Night Cream, just my oily-combination skin doesn’t require as much product. My skin feels plump and smooth when I wake the following morning.
As with the other products in the line, Night Cream is formulated with a blend of antioxidants, peptides, soothing Aloe to regenerate skin overnight. With Walnut seed – rich in Vitamin B5 which helps to brighten the complexion, Omega fatty acids and vitamin E.
Pomegranate Oil – A rich antioxidant
Peach Kernal Oil – An antioxidant with natural moisturising factors
- Paraben Free
- Vegan
- Cruelty Free
- Produced in the UK

Final Thoughts
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this brand and some of its products. They are all enjoyable to use, they don’t pill, nor have I had any issues with makeup pilling on top of them. I also haven’t had any sensitivity or redness whatsoever.
I really love the quick smoothing effect from Immediate Effect Serum. It’s impressive! I also like that it isn’t a product that is heavily silicone-based. Many skincare products that promise to ‘smooth’ lines prior to makeup etc tend to be silicone heavy and quite literally ‘fill’ lines; this is different. It is a silky, smooth serum that sinks in beautifully. The fact that you are getting skincare benefits as well as these smoothing effects just make me love it more.
Eye Repair is a very nice eye serum. It feels weightless, is beautifully hydrating and the effect is cumulative, so nightly use should bring about further benefits with dark circles and such.
Both the Day Cream and Night Cream are also lovely products. I’m particularly picky when it comes to daytime moisturisers. I will always wear a separate SPF to ensure I have the appropriate level of protection and as I have an oily/combination skin type, I like my moisturisers to be non-greasy and more lightweight – too heavy a cream, too many layers can prove disastrous for those with skin types like mine!
The Cult 51 Day Cream is a perfect weighted cream, especially for this time of year when my skin has been particularly parched in the winter. It gives me the hydration I need without leaving me feeling oily; it fits into my skin’s needs perfectly.
Night Cream is a little heavier in feel, a little richer than Day Cream but certainly not too rich for me to use and my skin enjoys the nourishment that’s for sure! My skin is certainly glowing after using all of these products and they treat many concerns that I have. The products do have a scent across the board, which does seem a little stronger in the creams. I find it ok personally, but it may be worth taking into account if you are sensitive to fragrance.
There is a sense of skincare being about protecting and regenerating across the brand. The products work in synergy with one another to boost skins collagen production, repair environmental damage and provide hydration, as well as treat many skin issues be it dark circles, redness, irritated skin.
The brand is on the higher end of the market however Cult 51 offer the Day Cream and Night Cream in both 20ml and 50ml sizes, allowing you to trial the products first should you wish.
Cult 51 London is UK based, all of the products are made within the UK, are cruelty-free and vegan.
