Skin Rocks The Antioxidant
The launch of The Antioxidant brings with it the development of a new category within the Skin Rocks range. ‘Protect’ is a range designed to help prevent photoaging and protect skin from environmental damage. The antioxidant is the first product to launch.
So What Makes The Antioxidant So Exciting?

Single-ingredient lead products have gained popularity over the last decade. While exciting, they haven’t always been easy to navigate and can, at times, lead to a cumbersome routine with too many steps and with more steps can come a greater expense.
Skin Rocks has chosen to celebrate a formula that is packed with multiple ingredients that boost the power of each other. To give the user a truly efficacious serum. This isn’t just a vitamin C serum, this is a multi-antioxidant serum. So let’s discuss which antioxidants are at play.
The Antioxidant & It’s Ingredients
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, is a precursor of vitamin C . It is able to harness the power of ascorbic acid without causing the sensitivity that can come with this vitamin C type. Therefore making the serum suitable for all types. This vitamin C is great for those who wish to target hyperpigmentation and brighten skin.
I’m very interested in fermented ingredients and harnessing the power of the skin’s biome. So I was excited to learn there is fermented green tea in the serum. Green tea is a powerful yet gentle antioxidant and the added benefit of fermentation helps the skin’s biome which in turn helps keep our skin barrier healthy – something that is key to healthy skin.
Ginger, another powerful antioxidant is included in this formulation.

Antioxidants are important in our skincare routine as they help protect our skin from everyday environmental aggressors such as pollution and UV. Antioxidants work by neutralising the damage caused, calming inflammation, hydrating and preventing the free radical damage that causes premature ageing.
Texture & Finish
The texture is a milky serum. It is hydrating but not greasy whatsoever. It melts into the skin immediately absorbing leaving no residue. The finish is a natural radiant glow without shine. It is comfortable to wear it doesn’t become greasy and I have not experienced any irritation whatsoever.
The Packaging & Price
The packaging is in keeping with the brand’s entire range. The bottle is housed in a blue outer card which has all of the relevant product details. The serum bottle neon orange glass bottle with a pump that is easy to use.
It is refillable and refills are available at a lower cost, like the products in the range.
Being glass, This is not a lightweight bottle. therefore it becomes cumbersome for travel and can be a problem if you have any accessibility issues concerning product weight.
While I understand the commitment to being environmentally conscious and to sustainability I hope they will address the accessibility needs also.
The serum isn’t in the affordable category but is in keeping with the brand’s price point and offers a lot for one product. Skin Rocks The Antioxidant £70, refill £60.
Final Thoughts
This serum has fitted into my routine seamlessly. It is effortless to apply and I look forward to you applying it. It gives me a healthy glow and instant hydration without feeling heavy or greasy.

I am impressed by the combination of ingredients and I find it to be an incredibly exciting formula. I attended a launch event with the Skin Rocks via zoom and the excitement behind the serum was contagious.
