The Matis Paris Response Founamentale Authenik Beauty Moisturising cream is packed with active ingredients including hyaluronic acid, retinal palmitate and mimosa tenuiflora.
Hyaluronic acid is great for drawing moisture into the skin, hydrating and plumping any fine lines. Retinal palmitate is an ester of retinol and a great beginners strength to start out with into the journey of ‘retinol’. It causes less irritation than others within its family so if that has been a concern of yours this would be a great place to start. The benefits of retinal palmitate are: evening of skin tone, renewal of skin and a reduction of fine lines over time.
Mimosa Tenioflora is a natural plant that offers soothing and exfoliating benefits and can help to purify the skin.
It is also a great hydrating formula with a mix of natural skin moisturising factors and humectant ingredients in the form of squalane, glycerin and hyaluronic acid.

Texture
The cream is a rich, luxuriously hydrating non-greasy cream and comes in a pot. It sinks into the skin with ease prepping for makeup during the day and rejuvenating skin throughout the night.
Packaging
The Matis Paris Fondamentale Authentik Beauty Beautifying Cream comes in a clear pot with a white lid with the Matis Paris logo etched on the front. It is chic, stylish and a wonderful addiction to any bedside table.

Fondamentale Authentik Scrub
“This essential scrub exfoliates and softly smooths all skin types, while preserving their comfort. The dual exfoliating action, mechanical and enzymatic, allows to refine the skin grain and to accelerate the cell renewal. The Matis Fondamentale Authentik Scrub is a bit of a double whammy, it’s a dual scrub, containing both mechanical grain and fruit enzymes to exfoliate. The natural grain instantly works to buff away dead layers of skin while fruit enzymes of Papaya and Cranberry gently refine skin and aid in cell renewal leading to a wonderful glow.
The scrub also contains Indica seed butter and glycerin so is wonderfully hydrating too!
Matis Paris say this scrub can be used once to twice a week and rinse away with water. I have been doing this and am loving the natural radiance it leaves to my skin!
Texture
The Matis Fondamentale Authentik Scrub is very light and fine in texture, the grain is gentle to the skin and the hydrating ingredients caring. Skin is left feeling instantly radiant and renewed.
Packaging
The scrub comes in a tube and again is very classy. It is fuss free, simple and oh so French chic.

My Thoughts
After trying both the cream and scrub for nearly two weeks now I can say that I’m a fan of both. The Matis Fondamentale Authentik beauty is an incredibly hydrating cream with an uplifting but not overpowering geranium scent. It houses a powerhouse of active and hydrating ingredients and offers excellent benefits in cell turn over, renewal and soothing and hydrating properties. It’s most suited, in my opinion, to normal to dry skin types (I feel oily skin types may perhaps find it a little too heavy and look for a lotion alternative).
The Matis Paris Fondamentale Authentik Scrub is a refreshing addition to any skincare routine. The scent is spa-like and not overpowering in the slightest which is lovely. It’s texture is very light and the natural grain very fine lending to a gentle mechanical exfoliation. My skin appears glowing upon use and I noticed this was enhanced with further uses over the two week period. I’m a big fan of formulas that utilise the benefits of plant enzymes and enjoy that this has been combined with natural grain to form a dual scrub.
